Privacy Policy

Last updated 27 July 2026

The short version

This website sets no cookies, does not identify or follow you, and does not ask for your name or email unless you write to me. A cookieless counter tells me how many people visited — nothing about who they are.

Loop Teacher itself — the app you buy — stores everything on your own computer and sends nothing anywhere. Your lesson plans, your notes, and any student information you enter never reach me, because there is no server for them to reach.

When you buy, Stripe handles the payment. They see your card details; I never do. I see your email address and roughly where in the world you are, because that's what a receipt requires.

Who this is

Loop Teacher is made and sold by an individual teacher operating from Quebec, Canada. For anything at all in this policy, write to contact@betterlifeloops.com and a person — me — will answer.

The website

No cookies, no advertising networks, no profile of you. The pages here are plain files. Nothing follows you between sites and nothing is sold to anyone.

Three things do involve a third party, and I'd rather tell you than have you find out:

If that ever changes — if I add anything that tracks people rather than counts visits — I'll say so on this page before it goes live, not after.

Buying Loop Teacher

Payment is handled entirely by Stripe, who act as merchant of record for the transaction. Your card number, expiry and security code go to Stripe and never touch my website or my computer.

From a purchase, I can see your email address, the country or region the payment came from, the amount, and the date. I use that only to send your receipt, to answer you if you need support, and to keep the records a business is required to keep. I do not add you to a mailing list, and I do not sell, rent or share customer information with anyone.

Stripe processes your payment data under their own privacy policy, which you can read at stripe.com/privacy.

The app itself — this is the part that matters

Loop Teacher has no server, no account, and no sync. Everything you type — lessons, reflections, adjustments, and any student records you choose to keep — is stored by your own browser, on your own machine. It is never uploaded, and I have no technical means of seeing it.

This has a consequence worth understanding clearly: because your data never leaves your computer, I cannot recover it for you if your machine fails or your browser storage is cleared. Saving your own safety copies is the only backup that exists. The Start Here guide covers the habit in about a minute.

The app contains no analytics, no crash reporting, no update checks, and no telemetry of any kind. It works with no internet connection at all, which is the simplest proof of the claim.

Student information

If you use Loop Teacher's optional class tools, you may enter information about students. That information stays on your computer under your control, exactly like everything else. It never reaches me, and it never reaches any third party through the app.

Loop Teacher is built to encourage referring to students by codes rather than names — S-07 rather than a real child — particularly in anything AI-related. You remain responsible for following your school's, board's or ministry's policies on student information; a tool cannot do that for you.

The optional AI prompts

Loop Teacher includes a pack of prompts you can use with whatever AI assistant you already have. AI is off by default and nothing is ever sent automatically. If you choose to copy something into an AI tool, that becomes a transfer you are making, to a company whose terms and privacy policy apply — not mine. This is why the prompts are written to use student codes.

Email

If you write to me for support, I keep the email so I can help you and so I have a record of the conversation. I don't use support emails for marketing. If you'd like our correspondence deleted, ask and I'll delete it.

Your rights

Under Quebec and Canadian privacy law — and comparable laws elsewhere — you can ask me what personal information I hold about you, ask me to correct it, and ask me to delete it. Because the only personal information I hold is what a purchase and an email conversation produce, these requests are usually simple to honour. Write to contact@betterlifeloops.com and I'll respond within 30 days.

Purchase records are kept for as long as tax and accounting rules require, which is the one category I can't delete on request.

Children

Loop Teacher is sold to adults — teachers, tutors and parents. It is not directed at children and I do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. Information about students that a teacher enters into the app is not collected by me, because it stays on the teacher's own computer.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. If a change is significant — new tracking, a mailing list, anything that alters what leaves your computer — I'll say so plainly rather than quietly editing the text.
